About Calusa Crossing Animal Hospital

Calusa Crossing Animal Hospital began serving the West Kendall community with small animal medicine and surgery in the spring of 1989 at 11266 SW 137 Ave. Calusas staff is privileged to have some of the best clients and patients in the area. After 22 years, our clinic was faced with outgrowing the facility and began looking for a better location in West Kendall. We found our new animal hospital site at 12801 SW 134 Court and moved in July of 2011. Everyone is excited to have the convenience of private parking, state of the art equipment, and twice the space to share with our clients.

My Sasha grabbed a frog and started spasming. The facility staff had 6 assistants and a vet working on her and save our precious Sasha. They are fantastic. Recommend them anytime.

This is my second time going to Calusa. My husband and I recently moved to Miami, and I was nervous about finding the right Vet clinic for my dogs. The first visits went well. It was for their annual check-ups, so that visit was very straightforward. Yesterday, one of my dogs started getting sick after our noon walk. Not knowing what caused it, I called Calusa. Lori was very nice over the phone (and later in person) and helped me get my dog in within 30 minutes. Once in the room, the Techs, James and a young female, were so gentle and nice with Fifi - she's scared of life. Dr. De La Rosa was also great. She was so kind to Fifi, and she gave me options that would help Fifi without breaking my bank. What convinced me that I had found the right clinic was the fact that Dr. De La Rosa just sat on the floor and waited for Fifi to feel comfortable before approaching her. That was exactly how our previous vet handled her, and I love that! Everyone at Calusa is kind and dedicated to our pets, and I am here to stay!

Came in to take advantage of the Free First Visit for new patients and had an easy and amazing visit, due to me being a first time dog owner and not knowing how easy it is for a puppy to get hurt due to walking so closely to the human feet, my dog got a little boo boo (springed her arm) and the vet and her assistants took good care of my baby. we got X-rays, meds and a follow up visit for a very good price I'm so glad I came! very nice location with free parking in front of the building, nice spacious waiting area and view rooms, very friendly staff and they answered the phone and gave me a walk in appointment within 5 minutes after calling we were able to walk in be seen and treated and sent home with meds all in the same day and under 30 to 45 minutes, please give this location a try the price to be seen and treated can't be matched (trust me I called 5 different locations and was blown away by how much it cost just to see the doctor, let alone having to get X-rays or meds? It's getting crazy out here) if I can find a place that makes me and my fur babies feel safe, well taken care of and get the max out of our budget for the overall health of our family member I will forever be dedicated to this company. thank you guys so much and I pray light and love to all of you you are truly amazing and beautiful hearted people and we need more of you in these days and times thanks again and I will definitely make this my first choice whenever I may need to get assistance with the health of my baby. words can not live up to your work today thank you a million times over🙏🏾💖

I can’t believe Dr. Woodby is retiring but I know is time. My Osso and Bella are greatly appreciated for all these 12 years under his care. We hope to find someone with such integrity and understanding. thank you for all you did.
